PGG RISE - The Next Generation

Updated: May 11

If there’s one thing you can say about Pentanet.GG, it’s that we’ll grab an opportunity with both hands and hustle hard to make it happen! So when a last minute opportunity to take part in the 2020 Oceanic Challenger Series (OCS) got the green light, you can bet we jumped at the chance to throw our hat in the ring

The establishment of the 2020 Oceanic Pro League team was a pivotal moment for Pentanet.GG, and we are pumped to see how the team has progressed in split one. With our OPL team gaining traction under the expert guidance of manager Nathan “Euphoraz” Mathews and Scott “Westonway” Farmer - there are big things to come in split two, starting June 5th.

Pentanet.GG’s next phase is to spotlight the development of amateur players, working with the next generation of gamers to gain the experience, professionalism and confidence needed to advance to the pro leagues.

“Developing the next generation of esports talent has always been a key focus for Pentanet.GG. Our organisation was formed with the mission to offer genuine career pathways for gamers, with Western Australian players at our core.” - Stephen Cornish, Founder and Managing Director of Pentanet.GG.

Introducing PGG RISE

We are pleased to announce that Pentanet.GG will be competing in the Oceanic Challenger Series (OCS) - Oceania’s challenger league below the Oceanic Pro League.

The OCS currently consists of seven OPL Academy rosters, alongside four University teams; QUT, RMIT, UQ and UTS.

Our Academy program, PGG RISE, will enable up-and-coming League of Legends players to work alongside our coaching and management team, improve their skills in-game and gain the competitive edge needed to work towards a career in esports.

Pete Curulli, General Manager of Pentanet.GG, has said in a statement “PGG RISE will have a natural opportunity to pathway into our Oceanic Pro League team in the future. If you think you can mix it with the best of them, now is your chance to throw your hat in the ring.”

With the announcement of PGG RISE, we are now open to recruiting aspiring League of Legends players that are hungry to go pro in the game they know and love.

Given that our roots are formed right here Perth, we hope to prioritise the recruitment of players based out of Western Australia, but we invite players from all around Oceania to apply.

If you think you have what it takes, be sure to reach out via the respected channels below!

Recruitment is now closed.

The Oceanic Challenger Series is set to kick off on May 21st, with our team having a bye for the first week. We will be facing up against Legacy Genesis (LGC Academy) on May 28th.
