Updated: Jan 16, 2020
Pentanet.GG, Perth based esports organisation, today announces their acquisition of five top Australasian based League of Legends players that will be competing in their newly established Oceanic Pro League team come January 31st.
News of this announcement follows one month since Pentanet.GG’s announcement of acquiring a spot within the Oceanic Pro League - Oceania’s professional League of Legends circuit. It also follows two months since the public announcement of Pentanet.GG as an organisation going live across the wider esports industry.
Stephen Cornish, Founder and Managing Director of Pentanet.GG, has said “our mission at Pentanet.GG is to develop a new wave of esports talent, with a long-term focus to bring local West Australian talent from the community leagues all the way through to international competition. I’m extremely proud to have a wholly domestic team of Aussie gamers onboard for our inaugural OPL season."
“Here at Pentanet.GG we're creating a real career pathway for gamers to compete at the highest levels. Our League of Legends participation is just one avenue that our future players can aspire to, with a lot more to come."

Paris “SOULI” Sitzoukis, who was ORDER’s OPL substitute throughout last year, has been signed as Pentanet.GG’s starting Jungler for this year. SOULI was coached by Samuel “Spookz” Broadley, Golden Guardian’s two way coach (NA LCS Team), throughout the 2019 season.
For their bottom Lane, Pentanet.GG has signed former Bombers player and 2019 Oceanic Representative for the World Championship, Jake “Rogue” Sharwood, as the teams starting Support for 2020. Pete Curulli, General Manager of Pentanet.GG, has said in a statement "We have a team! I'm so excited to welcome our inaugural OPL roster to Pentanet.GG for 2020.
"I've had a chance to speak to them a fair bit over the last couple of months as a team, and individually, and I'm really proud that they'll be the first professional players to wear our colours not just because they're a group of competitive and talented players, but also for how they've conducted themselves away from the Rift.
“There's a high standard we're aiming for at Pentanet.GG, and I'm confident this group of guys have what it takes to set it and create a benchmark for new players joining our teams and leagues over time. Bring on Split 1!"
Pentanet.GG will debut in the Oceanic Pro League on January 31st 2020.
